Summer Sports at Kimbolton School

The sun finally graced a Heart of England rally!  10 units arrived at Kimbolton school on Friday to find the grounds basking in glorious summer sunshine. After pitching amongst the trees, we enjoyed a get together in the evening sunshine with the conversation lasting well into the evening.  Saturday was another lovely day, if anything a little warm for the summer sports that took place in the afternoon.  Two teams led by Sue (the Reds) and Merv (the Yellows) participated in an interesting combination of activities concocted by Margaret. What started off as a bit of light hearted amusement soon built into a very tight competition with everyone participating in at least one activity and some showing off their prowess in a number of different events. A communal BBQ was a very fitting end to the sporting activities and once again we were able to enjoy a chat and a few toasted marsh mallows well into the evening.  Whilst Sunday started a little muggy, by coffee morning, the sun had once again burnt off the cloud and we had another glorious day before the majority had the tow home.  Thanks to Graham for some of these pictures.

A little sunshine brings everyone out!                              Joan sold some of her cakes for Charity so   Graham had to sample one or Two!

Ken P was more interested in the wine than the cakes but Ken C was clearly not averse to a little cream
