August Bank Holiday at Shardlow Marina

August Bank Holiday saw us on the banks of the river Trent at Shardlow Marina.  Not only did Sue and Merv arrange a good location for this rally, but the weather cooperated as well.  The sunny days gave everyone a chance to explore the attractions of the area.  Some of us went to the Crich Tramway Museum and the Great Central Railway where we found that it was a special Thomas weekend.

     There was no rain but that never stopped Joan and Margaret singing and dancing around the rally field! Margaret found another little friend at Loughborough station                   While Barry found a real monster of an engine (Typhoon) in the engine sheds
