Lichfield and a Taste of Staffordshire in October

Graham and Sheila arranged a simply superb introduction to Staffordshire for those of us who did not know the county well.  The rally opened with a taste of Staffordshire on Friday evening when we had an opportunity to sample a range of the different foods and drinks from the County.  Whilst some of the delicacies were reasonably well known, others were quite a surprise.  The quality of the beer and wine from the local area was also a very pleasant surprise.  Saturday afternoon saw us meeting up in the City for a wonderfully informative guided walk through a City that I for one must go back to.  Lichfield turned out to be one of the little known gems and our guide brought it to life and took as to places that you would never venture on your own.  The walk was followed by afternoon tea and then an opportunity to get together in the evening to look back on the day and enjoy Graham’s photographs from some of the 2008 rallies.  A great weekend thanks to the efforts of Graham and Sheila.
