The Summer Sports Day rally was a very welcome return to the beautiful grounds of Kimbolton School. August Bank Holiday is traditionally one of our smaller rallies but the company more than compensated for some “traditional” British summer weather. The sports took place on Saturday afternoon, around the inevitable showers, and very competitive it was! The Yellow team thought that they would prevail when a few underhand tactics were spotted by our eagle eyed adjudicators - not to mention the ladies Aquaroll challenge when one nameless participant entered an empty Aquaroll! The Red team were also not averse to “trying it on” but by some miracle that we will probably never fully understand, won the day with a margin of 5 points. All participants did very well. Whilst the weather was not good enough for a communal BBQ, we had a number of very enjoyable gatherings in the awning and Saturday evening gave us an opportunity to view a really spectacular fire work display courtesy of the wedding that was taking place in the Castle.
