Heart of England

Caravan and Camping Club

    About the Club

The club was set up by a group of experienced caravanners, who already rally with other national clubs, but who were looking to spend more time relaxing on the rally field and less time on the road.  National clubs have the challenge of providing rallies all over the country, so distances are sometimes too far for a short weekend rally.  We focus on the Heart of England and as such keep the distances that we travel to an hour or so, so that we can get down to some serious relaxation as soon as possible, without having to spend a fortune on fuel and a frustrating two or three hours on the road.

The club is open to all caravanners and campers who would like to rally in the Heart of England, irrespective of the make of car or caravan that they own, whether an experienced rallier or one who would like to give rallying a go for the first time.  We hold an exemption certificate that allows us to caravan and camp on unlicensed sites rather than on established camp sites.  This has the advantage of keeping costs down, as well as enabling us to stay at some wonderful locations that are not accessible to others so we can avoid the crowds.  Since these sites usually only have basic water and elsan facilities those attending rallies will need to have their own sanitation facilities for the rallies indicated in the rally folder.

2007 was our first rally season and we completed 8 rallies. We ran a programme of 12 rallies in 2008 and in 2009, all within about 50 miles of the Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Leicestershire border. Our 2010 rally programme has now started and most of the 2011 programme is now all confirmed.  Our holiday rally in 2011 will be to Brittany in France during the last 2 weeks weeks of June.
