Sue and Merv report from The Quorn Rally
A lovely warm welcome from our marshals at this lovely new venue. Where else could one sit, eat and drink in comfort while watching the age of steam pass by us in the sunshine. A welcome cuppa on arrival and at any other time during the weekend. Little Chey came with his mum and dad for his birthday and he celebrated alongside Paul with a birthday cake each. Paul had to wear the birthday hat. Saturday saw some walking the marked walks, some rode the steam trains, and some of us did nothing much at all but relax. Molly and Alun provided everyone with scones, jam and cream on Saturday evening.
A lovely weekend and a lovely venue which we are sure we will be visiting again.
